Script & Language

Lana Khayat’s script-based works are meditations on language, memory, and the unspoken. Layering abstract botanical forms with ancient scripts, such as Phoenician, Tifinagh, and early Arabic; these paintings evoke the sacred geometry of forgotten tongues.

The calligraphic gestures are not meant to be read, but felt; they speak to a shared cultural lineage and the silences between generations. By dissolving boundaries between text and image, Khayat reclaims language as a visual, emotional terrain; where roots and rhythms echo across time.

For commissions, collaborations, or collector inquiries, I'm always open to meaningful exchange.
