Lana Khayat’s practice moves fluidly between materials and emotion. From the softness of silk to the structure of 3D forms, from the depth of blue to the quiet pulse of green, each work is a study in feeling. Stitch by stitch, surface by surface, she experiments intuitively, letting the process lead, and the material speak.

Lana Khayat’s practice moves through color, material, and memory with instinct and openness. Her relationship with blue and green is intuitive. Blue holds space, silence, and breath. Green pulses with life and renewal. These colors are more than pigments, they are emotional frequencies, shifting with the seasons of her own inner world.

Stitching began quietly, as a personal ritual. Soft threads of silk, sourced from Spain, offered a way to touch the surface gently, to hold something in place without fixing it completely. It became a language of care. Over time, the act of stitching transformed into something deeper, a way to trace time, to feel through the hand what cannot always be spoken. 3D printing, by contrast, introduced a new kind of precision and structure into the work. It offered a tension between the organic and the engineered, the fragile and the constructed. Khayat moves between these mediums with curiosity, allowing each material to teach her something new.

Her process is grounded in emotion. She does not follow formulas, but feelings. Each piece is an experiment, a question, a response. Nothing is ever the same, because nothing ever feels the same. This is how she works, listening, layering, and letting the materials speak.
